I have not, but I have heard of it... It appears on the news as well... They use their power, which is what abuse stems from...

I am sorry this has happened to you, there is no excuse for a person in a position of power to use it to abuse those that they should be protecting. To me it is the worst kind of abuse.

I haven't either. But I do have intense dislike for most police officers because in many of the cases i've seen they tend to have a bloated sense of self-importance, and try to push people around. Itend to get rather, umm...mouthy when I get confronted by snarky police officers (which thankfully, has been rarely)

My abusive ex's family members were cops. They did take part in the abuse several times.

I was abused by a fireman (who also happened to be my foster dad at the time). It has been hard to trust in these men and women since this. Sometimes, I can't even stand to be near them. Especially if they are having something at my college and then I tend to get very panicy. I always try to remember to deep breathe and remind myself that the guy did this was one person and not a room full of firemen/firewomen.
