I am presently in therapy with a wonderful therapist. She and I are going deeper into the trauma. I have had flashbacks of being raped as a 9 yr old but have not seen the rape in my mind. I was also taken from my mother when I was 2 years old. My most difficult time of the year is in the Fall. I know I am experiencing Anniversary reactions to being traumatized. My question is do any of you experience physical symptoms while going thru the memories. I have been experiencing high blood pressure, heaviness in the chest, anxiety, free floating, no panic attacks, thank God, but anxiety. I went for a echo cardiogram today, but my therapist thinks it is all stress related. Would love your feedback. Thanks

What really helped me more than anything was guided imagery for trauma. I found a CD online called Healing Trauma by Belleruth Naparstek. Listening to it has been nothing short of a miracle for me. My symptoms have almost completely disappeared. Maybe it will work for you as well. Take care, Laura
