I tend to get into one relationship after another craving for love and acceptance. It was not my fault that I was abused. I feel like I am damaged but I know that is just a lie I sometimes listen to. I am very depressed today. I broke up with a man that I thougth would not give up no matter. He can't handle it.

I'm sorry for the pain you're experiencing because of your loss. We all got damaged by what happened but then everyone is damaged in someway. Your having been abused in no way excludes you from obtaining the love and acceptance you crave. I dk what happened with your breakup, you seem to believe it's because of your having been abused but relationships are complex and people rarely break up over a single issue. Regardless, it's all in the choosing...while it may not seem so right now, there are many men who can and will love you for who you are and will deal with the issues caused by the abuse. You will have to go through the grieving from you loss but please keep hope alive. While he may have let you down, it doesn't mean all men will let you down...you will find what you seek because you deserve it...keep the faith. This too shall pass...hugs

I am not saying you are going through this but this is what happened to me. Yrs ago I went through one bad relationship after another. I kept picking guys who would either leave or hurt me. In some ways I think I did it too myself b/c I was not worthy of a good guy.
When I found a good guy I got rid of him. B/c I hated myself & was blaming myself for the abuse.
I needed love I was trying to be safe but going about it in the wrong way.
So I took time off of relationships to work on myself. To try to figure out why I was doing this.
After 2.5 yrs I became friends with a guy. Then I married him. He is the best. He has stuck by me through all of my physical illnesses & mental BS.
Holding me through flashbacks. All he wants to do is support me. We now have been married 16 yrs
There are good ones out there I just needed to be in the right head space to see him
again not saying this is happening to you it is just my story
