Talk to the doc, have them explain it, tell them your concerns, and if you still have a problem see if there is anything else they can do. People get endoscopies all the time and that triggers just about everybody. There is probably something they can do for you.
I suggest you get them to knock you out, that way it will make it easier for you to deal with.
re the meds, I am allergic to many many meds so that part is a bit scary, too, but they are going to give me somethign to make sure that I am somewhat out of it, and in one way that helps, but in another it makes me more scared bc I hate being that vulnerable and out of control
and I did tell the Dr that I have PTSD and am afraid....he kinda gets it but mostly just downplayed everything which didn't really help
