I have been prescribed medical marijuana for my depression (now PTSD) for the past year, and I've found that it has an incredible effect on my uplifting my mood and reducing anxiety. When used appropriately, I find that it seems to bring out the most positive and brighter sides of my personality----the positive, loving and playful part of me seems to dominate and diminish any negative or intruding insecure thoughts. However, when I have used it simply to not deal with and/or drown out the world it only exacerbates the insecurity and paranoia. So I've found that it is much much better used after I have taken care of my tasks and errands for the day, such as bills, exercising, walkings meditating, journaling, etc. (or after any work, of course). In other words, it must be balanced with the other needs and responsibilities in taking care of yourself. Also, certain "strains" are much more effective than others.
Nonetheless, I find it much more effective than diazepam or antidepressants, in my experience. It is not any type of cure or anything----only by truthfully and painfully facing your trauma can one really heal. Anything else is merely a numbing and destructive mask and escape from the real source of pain.
Does anyone else have any experience with this?

Upon his departure, he remarked, "I am in many people’s pockets; no one will believe you." Have you ever grappled with the silence that follows sexual assault, where the perceived impossibility of being believed necessitates self-censorship?

All drugs, prescribed or illegal, have different effects on different people. For him it wasn't worth it and he stopped using it.
It sounds great but I have a prejudice against it due to my father's alcoholism and my daughter's addiction to it.
Side affects. I was given things to make me relax ,, poked and proded. Given alcohol. I would not agree. Anything that can alter
Your mind and have lasting effects. I I have fibromyalgia also. I accepted Jesus as my personal Saviour and repented of my sinful nature , not abuse. And prayed and asked Jesus to save me. And yes I have him to get me through. He has gotten me through my life. He gives me peace in the storm. And a home in heaven. :)
