It makes sense to me that you would avoid having any type of relationship that may become long term. A trust was broken and hurt you deeply and avoidance is very common coping mechanism we use to keep ourselves safe. After all, none of us wants to be hurt again.
I would urge you to start working with a therapist. No matter how many times you were abused/assaulted you still need to heal from it and working with a therapist is your best bet to achieve this.
