When I first told my boyfriend (now husband) he just got real quiet and didn't say anything. He actually had this sort of sickened look on his face. I thought he was sickened by me....but it turns out that he was incredibly hurt and angry to hear that I had been through all of that. He even cried because he felt so helpless as far as what he could do to help me.
I'm just concerned because I've told her, before, that I needed to talk to her about something, but I just couldn't physically get the words out. And the fact that my therapist and my parents knew, and I still couldn't tell her... I think it upset her that she was the only person I couldn't say this to. I'm just hoping her response has nothing to do with this. But, again, thank you. :]
My last girlfriend did not talk too me for about a week, and then once we talked it over, she became more supportive.
