Just another rape victim..

So I met a guy on here who I thought was very kind and who was slowly becoming a good friend of mine but it is clear that he is absolutely insane. Not only does he fly off the handle, but he brings up my rape. He’s said things like, “Just another rape victim turned slut trying to get someone to love you” and “Says the poor rape victim alcoholic”. He’s very abusive and cruel. It’s one thing to be angry at me, but to bring up my rape? Then call me worthless? It’s juse really upsetting. It’s like he wanted me to get triggered. That’s not even what bothered me...


What bothered me was the comment he made about “just another rape victim turned slut”. Soooo, what? Now most rape victims turn into sluts? Is that how people look at victims of sexual abuse? I mean.. I’m floored. People are truly sick. 


Luckily I have an amazing boyfriend who accepts my past and sees me for who I truly am, but still, it makes me really upset that people can be so cruel and vindictive...

Someone on here? Easy. Report is located at the bottom of the screen. Then repeat what all he’s said to you ( not sure if you can send screen shots or not) and let them delete him.
He’s a total jerk, and a troll... sadly they are here.. but there are things to get rid of them.
Until then, please block him.

notalone is right - report him if he commented that here? If not here then I'm not sure if Admin can act against him. Either way, turn your back to him immediately and block him any and everywhere your lives touch. He devalues your life, you are worth much more

Your experience does not surprise me. We all come here because of some issue we're having a hard time dealing with. To my mind we're a bunch of imperfect beings in an imperfect world trying to sort ourselves out as we try to support each other.

If I were a recovering alcoholic, I wouldn't go to a bar to find a good man. The waiting room of my therapist's office isn't a good place to find a bestie. This probably isn't the best place to hook up with guys either. Just saying....

You guys are completely right!! He reached out to me on here and we became friends. We talked almost every day. Unfortunately his comments were made via text. He’s literally insane. It just makes me sad that someone could be so cruel. But you are right, this is really not the place for social networking or dating. I’m here for advice and a safe place to vent. I’m very disappointed in him but it’s better that I cut ties now rather than this continuing. I have him blocked on here and he’s also blocked via text. Good riddence!!! Lol

I believe that anyone who is going to treat you like that, calling you another sexually assaulted slut, has major issues. I would stay away from them could possibly be a abuser. Definitely not going to give you the love and support you need to heal from the past. Sounds like your on a good path now, true friends of abuse will be there to uplift you, not put you down. Those of us who have been abused know how hard it is to move on. And we all need to stick together and share , and reach out and support, not put down, we all have different experiences with being abused and assaulted.no ones assault or rape is worse than another's, we all get hurt and deal with it differently. thank you friends

Thank you! There is definitely something not right with him. He was treating me very well and being there for me like any good friend would then he just snapped. He did this a couple weeks ago and I forgave him even though my gut told me not to. This app started because he made an inappropriate comment to me that was supposed to be a joke, but my boyfriend took offense. Both sides had their wrong but of course I was put in the middle. Note to self: Don’t make personal friends on DS. I sent him a birthday card and he used that against me and threatened me. So yeah, no more meeting “friends” over the internet. Lol

Thank you! No, luckily he doesn't know him or I'm afraid he would have went after him already. I haven't really thought about it, just happy he's out of my life. Unfortunately he has my address and has threatened me but I have all of his information so I'm sure nothing will happen. This was a HUGE wake up call, though.

Hey girl, So I’m going to be blunt. Fuck that dude and all he is about. He has no fucking clue how deep rape can effect your soul. Nor dose he relize how it haunts us during the day at random times, when we see any news reports or shows associated with any thing about rape or sexual assault, in our dreams or more like nightmares where we relive it but yet we still carry on and try to cope. Also addiction is so common after trauma to numb the pain. For that to be thrown in your face is just another insult. I fell into alcoholism after my rape and it’s a monster in it self to face. Plus calling you a slut?!? Give me a brake!! Hold your head up high and cut out those who re-victimize you!! Good job for reaching out. You are worth it! Much love❤️

Thank you!! He's a tool, and that's why he lives alone and is single and doesn't seem to really have anyone stable in his life. I actually feel sorry for him because anyone who can treat another person like that has seriously problems. He clearly is miserable with his life. Luckily he is out of my life, and I gave my father his information in case he decides to do something stupid. Hopefully he isn't that stupid...

    I was sexually assaulted as a kid.  I find it hard to accept that another person's actions caused me so much harm.  He made bad choices and now I am paying the price.  Stupid PTSD!
