I understand about the being stressed part. Even though my sexual abuse happened years before I went to college, I was and still working with the police when I started college. I felt so overwhelmed being as I was adjusting to college, working, and cooperating with local detectives to try to help with my case. And even though my abuse didn’t happen at school, I was still able to contact my school’s victim advocate and she has been extremely helpful.
Have you tried therapy? I haven’t had much experience myself but therapy can be a great tool to you. Is there anyone you can talk to about this? Having a person who you can freely talk to helps a lot in my experience.
ive try therapy but could only do it for a short time, the school has a sexual assault thing there but it is not very good, and they are the ones who assign his punishment, i dont really have anyone to talk to
I'm so sorry for what you've been through and still are going through. He has hurt you and the "punishment" he got is... well, I lack the word for it. It wasn't a punishment and the reaction of the people in charge was really a non-reaction. No, the sexual assault thing there really isn't good if writing an essay was the only consequence for him.
If it helps, feel free to share here whatever you want to share. Vent if you want to, write about your feelings if you want to. I find it sometimes helps me just to put things in words and know someone hears me. This is a safe place for that, as so many of us can relate to so many things.
Support to you, Sunshine, you're not alone.
