I am so tired of this moving backwards and forwards, feeling like I am getting better and then going right back again. I thought I was figuring things out, then things exploded, I was screwed over by another person I thought I could trust and i am right back at square one. I cant help but keep thinking of how much better my life would be, how much easier my life would be, minus the sexual abuse. And I hate them for doing it, I hate myself for being so weak, i just want to feel normal again.
"On my way to healing I can't skip a single step, not even when that step leads me backwards." That's what I tell myself when I feel like I'm back on square one (you never really get back to square one). I wish there were shortcuts, but I've never found any, so I follow that winding path as best I can.
I hate them too, for what they did to you, for what they did to me, to everyone here at DS and all the survivors I never met. A really deep, heartfelt kind of hatred. I hate the fact that we have to bear the consequences of their actions. I hate the fact that they managed to make us feel weak....
You're not weak. You're brave and strong. You're here to share. You're alive.
That is a really beautiful way to look at it, it reminds me of something I have read before about dry and straight paths might be easier to walk, but it isn't where you find the flowers growing.
And for the reminder that you never really get back to square one, I think i needed that :-) thank you, lovely.
