Hello, I'm new to this group. I have shared with one person my struggles with sexual abuse in my past relationship, one of my very close friends. I live in the apartment directly beside my ex-partner and this is continually triggering and really difficult. I have had trouble finding a therapist and though that maybe an online group might be helpful for my recovery.

Hi- Welcome to the group! I’m so sorry to hear about your struggles. It’s good that you have a friend whom you can trust and share your feelings with.

Online groups like this are very helpful, you can learn coping skills and help you not to feel alone. I hope you will be comforted as you continue to share. You might also want to consider joining a life group. In my experience, I feel better when I am surrounded with people who will encourage and pray with me especially in trying times.

Hello and welcome to the group! I'm pretty new to the site and have started communicating with one person on a daily basis, It's been very helpful to me because I feel like I can open up easier to a stranger and we have a comfortable way of talking to each other. I did open up to my husband before but don't want to keep hashing it over with him when he has no abuse history himself.
