How do you talk about being raped

Iam new to this and im a little bit scaried i just post something on a post and that was.just one of my stories im not a victim of rape im a person that just dealt with being raped i blocked it out of my mind and now i need someone to talk to

Hi Candylady,

I can tell by your DS profile that you've joined several very useful support groups. Now it may be best to read through some of the replies to certain common issues. The newcomers are not always quite sure about what to tell or how to write out feelings. I know that you are scared, but stay assured that this is a safe place as a guest. You don't have to give your entire story just now. I am so sorry that you are dealing with such a strong issue, and, naturally, you will block painful experiences from memory. Yet, in light of your need to talk to someone, I imagine that posting your comments inside the groups you've joined is a starting point.

One thing that has helped me talk about it was journaling. Writing about it, seeing it from an outside perspective in plain black-and-white, helped me put it into perspective and helped me work up to talking to a trusted friend and post about it here. It's also really helped me work through my emotions. I hope this helps a little!

I agree I find writing it down is a lot easier than talking, for me it’s been multiple times and it never gets any easier
