I've written before and began to get some helpful feedback answers for which I am so grateful, but I still feel quite lost and clueless. I have an abusive parent who is insanely mentally ill, acts like a child and even an infant somehow oftentimes, and sexualized me to ridiculous degrees. I had to act like a child too, as a young adult, and a lot of that was directly tied to the sexualization.
To be honest, there is a part of me that is remarkably intelligent, mature, funny, interesting, loving, entertaining, and etc. Or sometimes I'm just a kind, grounded person. But there is another part of me that acts so weird, so childish, is so tortured by a grotesque image of myself rooted in the sexual abuse...I am just beside myself. I don't know how to heal. I barely know how to begin. I know I have to get away from the parent. I want to add lol to that, but I know why I've been so stuck for so long from the trauma among other things.
The sexual abuse was real bizarre and unique in many, many ways and I was unable to recognize it for what it was until recently. There simply was no way for me to, since it was so weird, there is unbelIEVable amounts of denial in my family following suit with the denial (or rather lies) of the abuser, and I didn't find a therapist who really recognized what was happening and was educated about it, until recently.
So a (so far short) lifetime of psycho hell is finally beginning to burst open, and I don't know where to begin to try to heal. I feel almost just as trapped, traumatized, and helpless as I always have. Moving away may only be a very small help, because the entire state gets triggered by fear, bad boundaries, feeling watched, extreme stress, etc. =/

Unfortunately what I have learnt with my own experience and supporting others with their journey to healing is that there is no quick answer. Please dont accept any advice as the sum answer for the difficulties you are confronting. Often the road to healing takes many years especially when it has been uniquely tramatic which many stories within this group have been. What I have found to be the most helpful for myself is to do whatever necessary to aid my healing. This has involved reading, music, therapy, online/face to face support groups, art therapy. Just know you are not alone and have the support of the people within this group.

You heal one step at a time. one day, one minute, even one second at a time. You try to find your footing and work from there. (((HUGS)))

I had to move to a different state to feel safe. I know I still felt mentally abused. Hope nothing else got blocked out. I felt very unsafe. Glad you found a good therapist and I hear that. I never knew why I just hated the places I lived. I felt like there was a dark cloud looming over my head. It is weird I felt the same, with no memory I realize it was not normal to do what I did. I will pray you are able to feel safe. I live away but now I remember. I do not feel as on edge but with the pstd I get anxious at time. I just try to keep my mind occupied with singing hymms and playing tic tac toe with my son . he had a doctors appointment the place was packed. A little anxiety causing. Calling my husband. Well even though you feel that way , you may be healing just by writing and talking and keeping up what you are doing. Its not going to be overnight. It would be easier if you felt safe . Its not a good feeling atl all. I will pray you will find a safe place. I am reading the Courage to Heal and it is very informative on what to do . I do not agree with everything in it but the info is great so far. TD Jakes Woman thou art loosed is an awesome book also. Prayers just for you. .
