So not sure where to start. but here goes. I'm seventeen, and honestly I'm at the end of my rope. Dont know what to do anymore. But before i go anyfurther i suppose id better explain why im writing this (probably pointless/ridiculous) post.
My dad died three years ago and my mom works three jobs trying to support me and my two older brothers. my oldest brother Tommy (21 years) he started to do stuff right before dad died. sixteen months ago he started raping me. Simon (18years) knows nothing about what is going on, basically because he is never home and always at his girlfriends.
my mom is hardly ever home because of the jobs (a total of four hours). i tried telling her what Tommy does when i found out i was pregnant (im 36weeks now) but she called me a liar and said he was the only reason why she was able to work. otherwise the state would come and take us to prison. needless to say our relationship isnt too good right now.
i dont know whats gonna happen when my daughter is born or what im going to do about Tommy. ive thought about just running away. but hed find me and punish me. thats what he does when i fight him.
part of me just wants to hide under a rock, but i dont think even that would keep him away.

Upon his departure, he remarked, "I am in many people’s pockets; no one will believe you." Have you ever grappled with the silence that follows sexual assault, where the perceived impossibility of being believed necessitates self-censorship?
