I had joined a free group called "Overcoming Adversity" at a nearby church. I found most of the people in there who were there to discuss some other affliction were abuse survivors themselves. I found this group to be highly beneficial especially since where I live does not seem to have any abuse support groups. I really don't like how society tries to deny that this is a real and widespread problem and so areas like where I live tend to shun any acknowledgement that this goes on.

Times must really be getting tough for a California resident to be in search of mental health services. And female none the less.

I've been searching for well over 12 years now, but then again I'm from the south east part of the US, middle aged and male.

hey everyone, i just found a group that's about 20 minutes away from my house and i'm so excited. there's a teen group and they do art projects. i want to be an art teacher so i love art. it sounds really great.
i'm just waiting for someone to email me back and see when the group starts up again. 8]
