You know what? I didn't even read it. Because I thought, "Oh great, GQ did an article about rape. Men are asking themselves "why do we do it?" Then I find out they're worried about men raping men. Not that it's not important and heartbreaking. But maybe they should just write an article about rape: why do we do it? And for that matter, "Prostitution: why do we hire child prostitutes and kidnapped, enslaved sex trade victims?"

Sorry for the bitterness. I know one doesn't preclude the other, just being bitter.

I understand where you're coming from.
But I don't understand why rapists, who are mostly men, rape... Sexual entitlement's some of it, power over others is some of it, cultural conditioning is some of it.

what's more fruitful to analyze is the society that excuses and enables rapists. AKA rape culture That ought to be fixed. The military's a part of that culture.
