I wonder how common it is for those who are abused to find the gender of the person or persons who abused them triggery?
I was r*ped by 2 different guys as a child, had a fourth neighborhood pedophile try to force me into his apartment at gunpoint, my mom was psychologically and physically abusive, my dad decided to "Use" me starting at 6, going to 8. Nonetheless, I don't find gender triggery so much as I find ALL PEOPLE frightening...0.0
My bestie is afraid of most other males, he has trouble trusting them, he was s*xually abused by an uncle for years. But he was beaten and starved by the other adults in his family, so why males are a trigger for him and not for me I don't know.(BTW I have his permission to talk about his life.)
Somewhat unrelated...I am a technical female. But not quite female or male between the ears, and I wonder what that does to people-I myself find people like myself fascinating...

Because to me the worse abuse was the emotional abuse yeah women can trigger me.But its mostly women Docs or a certain personality of women like women who seem controlling is a huge trigger to me.
