Sexual abuse is a relative cultural term used to describe sexual relations and behavior between two or more parties which are considered criminally and/or morally offensive. He earned that, don't you think?
If he needed help with is homework that bad, he REALLY should have thought twice about sexually assaulting you.
For him to now accuse you of "abandoning" his is laughable and blatant manipulation. No..he ceased being your friend and abandoned the "friendship" the day he first turned your friendship into a means of gratifying his sexual needs.he's now trying to manipulate you again by guilt tripping you with this "abandonment" nonsense. Why would you want to retain a friendship of someone who abused you? Or feel any guilt for putting a stop to it? Given his actions you owe him nothiing. It sounds like your feeling guilty for taking care of yourself. Why? He abandoned the friendship and your trust when he sexualized it, something you didn't want or ask for. Step back and look at this...he takes advantage of you for months, something you didn't want to be happening. It finally ends and you feel guilty for getting away from someone who abused you? I'd expect you to be angry or sad maybe about losing a friend but certainly not guilty and that you're the bad person.
I read "confusion" in your post.
Why are you overlooking the fact that this 'friend' sexually abused you for seven months? What is that less important than the guilt you feel?
I admire your respect for friendship but friendship is a two-way street. He ceased being your friend when he sexually abused you and then turned the tables to make it your fault for leaving him "...on his own."
You did NOT overreact; you did what any self-loving person would have done and that's to get out of harms way. There is no question in my mind that this 'friend' is a manipulating predator. Keep your distance...unless you don't mind being used and abused.
