i still have alot of blame on me for what happend. i have not been able to forgive myself and that's prolly why i havent been able to heal as well and because i still can't voice what happend, i'm able to write it but i can't speak it.
i blame myself alot because i feel that i could have stoped it sooner and i didn't. i finally stoped it when i was 11 or 12 i dont' remember but i made it stop after he made me have intercorse. but i just alway's look back and say i could have stoped it. if i was able to stop it why didn't i do it sooner? why did i wait so long? i also blame myself because when i was like 10 i wanted it to happen, i liked it. if i wanted it to happen then i should be at fault too. i should be in jail i should be in trouble i should be dead. i hate myself sooooooo much for thoes feelins for wanted it for liking it. i blame myself sooo much for that and i should be blamed. you guy's say that i was brain washed but idk if i was. so i guess i'm asking do you guy's think after what i've said that i'm at fault too? please be honest i need/want to know.

In NO way were you responsible. You were 10!!!! You weren't done developing physically or emotionally - You had no idea how to respond to what was happening. Even at your age now, you would still have ALOT of mixed emotions about things b/c you are still becoming your own person. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't let ANYONE tell you that it was your fault. Even if you liked it & begged for it, it isn't your fault b/c you were too young to understand what was happening inside you. Have you told anyone? friends, parents? How old was your brother/friends? Either way, please don't hate yourself - you are just confused & the lines of nature have been severly crossed so everything you thought you knew isn't right. Eventually, you will be able to realize that it wasn't your fault & release your anger & confusion where it belongs. I know this is kind of long, but i can understand where you are at. Manipulation is a sneaky & horrible thing. Go ahead & get mad/angry, etc, just DON't allow yourself to take it out on yourself. YOU DON'T DESERVE IT!!!

One more thing. I wish i was as strong as you already are at 16. I never breathed a word of what my father did or even faced it until i was 19. I was too afraid of being blamed & breaking up my family. I am only now realizing how much it has affected my life (at 27). It has been a tough road, but I often wonder where i'd be now if I had faced it 10 years ago. One thing's for sure. Support is everything. Until the past few months, i had minimal support & already joining this community has helped alot b/c there are so many that feel the same as i do. Good Luck & you can talk to me anytime...

You are absolutely not responsible, not to blame. Please don't take that on. That guilt does not belong to you, it belongs to your brother. He is the one who did wrong. Go and look at little kids who were the age you were when it started. You'll see how small and defenceless they are, and how completely incapable of protecting themselves phsically and emotionally from a predator that they are. Children just want love and acceptance. You say you liked it- but the feelings you were having were your body reacting to stimuli, not really something under your control. Your body is designed to feel pleasure, but you were too young for that to be happening to you. You were innocent, and that was taken away from you. You had the right to start sex on your own timeline, and that was taken from you. Do NOT take on blame for what was done to you. The guilt we feel about not having stopped it- that's a false guilt. We did not have that kind of power. I bought into that crap for such a long time, lived with such shame about what had been done to me. Took a couple of years of therapy for me to understand- that was not MY shame. I can talk about having been abused now, with no shame, no pain. I couldn't say the words for the longest time. I still can't talk about what specifically was done to me, but I don't need to. I want you to have the peace of mind at least, that you are not to blame. You were a victim, and now you are a survivor. So hold your head high, because you deserve to feel proud that you were not destroyed by what happened to you.

Just because your body liked the physical experience does not mean that you have ANY responsibility for what happened. You were the child, they were the adult. I don't care if you ran at them naked asking for it, as the adults they should have protected you, not violated you.

You were not at fault. It is the bodies natural physical response to be arroused by touching certain areas... it's supposed to feel good... it's part of nature. If you wanted it, it was because of those NATURAL physical responses. Give your ten year old self a break... she didn't understand what was happening, and was dealing with it the best she knew how. Try looking at it that way... if it were to happen to a 10 year old girl you know and care about, would you blame her? I hope your answer is an enfatic "no."
