I have not been on DS for a while. I believe I know why now. I have been feeling sad and depressed without knowing exactly why I am feeling this. I went back into therapy to explore these sad feelings. Has any gone thru the process of healing in therapy and then a year later or even years later, something triggers sadness, disassociation?
My therapist said I have complex PTSD when I talked to her last Friday. She said the years I suffered abuse which was 23 years in those 2 foster homes would create complex PTSD. Guess I still have some healing to do. I also realized as long as I was feeling good, I could post on DS and feel as tho I was helping others. This time I realize I need the support and understanding. I know feeling this sadness has really humbled me. I know this too will pass and in this time I will only become stronger in my recovery.

About the complext PTSD. I have never heard it put that way. I was labeled as PTSD as well as Disociative. I think for me each is more intense at various times depending on what I am dealing with.
