Different types of sexual abuse involve: Non-consensual, forced physical sexual behavior such as rape, incest or sexual assault, or psychological forms of abuse, such as verbal sexual behavior or...

I have told friends - only good friends, and again, without going into detail. I just say, "I was sexually abused as a child."
Of course, the first person you should tell and talk to about it all is a therapist. I don't remember whether you said you are in therapy or not. If not, I would ask any potential therapist or counselor if they are experienced with trauma and sexual abuse.
I didn't want to talk, I had just been ripped away from everything I knew, I had to move schools, towns, I haven't seen my family since, and I am not that good at talking anyway. I shut down for a long time so I didn't talk and eventually people stopped making me go. That was a few years ago now but I haven't been to therapy since.
It was scary telling, but I did feel better after doing so because I let a huge tension and secret out that was consuming my thoughts. Other than my mom, none of my family knows.
If you tell somebody, you will release stress just by talking it out and admitting the truth. You wouold lighten your burden by sharing it with someone close who is hopefully understanding The more you talk about it, the less of a pain it will be to talk and think about it (eventually).
My wife knows, my folks know... but only in parts, they only know that the neighbor kid hurt me, not to the fullest extent.
My therapist knows more and more each time I see him... only took 5+ years to build up the courage to tell him.
I have told more of the folks here than anything, probably cause I have never met any of you in real life, and would be scared to death if you matched a face with the stories.
I have also actually talked to some of my school mates... I had to tell a couple of them sorry for treating them the way I did, because I caused one of my close ish classmates to cry because of me (probably at least) and have never forgiven myself for it... I told her sorry for making her cry, told her all the info about the day I could ( never forgot it) she said don't worry about it... I told her I have since it happened...20+years ago I can't forget it. I understand things, I was abused too... We talked very shortly, then dropped it.
Same thing with another classmate, except I flat out asked her if she was abused, she said 'how did you know' I said ' I was sexually abused as a kid' .
Her and I talked.
It's sometimes amazing to know who around you has been abused, but also, it's scary. It explains a lot, but then brings up more questions.
Talk to who you feel you should talk to, but please, be very careful who you choose to talk to. Like someone said above, family can turn on you, and be very mean.
Welcome to talk, I'm here. As always
But that's it.
Mom knows dad did stuff, but I don't tell her details of the stuff I am remembering.
Or even worse, they'll think I'm bad too.
How could your whole family be bad? It's not as simple as good or bad. It's more like a sickness and people who live together infecting each other ... Or being drawn to marry people with similar issues. There is no question of you being bad. You were born into that and had no opportunity to choose. But when you did have a chance to choose you got out of there.
Are you in therapy or counseling?
