I have just found out that my son may have been sexually abused 10 years ago when he was between 2 and 3 years old, by my ex boyfriend. 


He says he remembers hearing me go to the shower then hearing the man coming to his room and covering his mouth, touching his nappy area. I Feel so stupid, How could I have missed it!?


Thankfully the relationship didn't last and he didn't come to my house often back then.... but it makes me feel sick to my stomach! I don't know if my son is telling me everything, he says the room was dark but he remembers that the man "jumped" and quickly came out of his room when the shower sound stopped.



He says he doesn't remember the person's face or details but I remember who I was with back then. I've never been so scared in my life so many scenarios are going through my head. 



I called 101 they said that without details it would be difficult to pursue anything.

It will probably be difficult to press charges but there is help. Every comunity has places for adults and children who has been SA. Google it in your area. If he remembers enough to tell you, then some so-called damage is still with him. He can recover from this.
