My therapist sugested that i think of some good memories of my early child hood. She said that it was importat to balance the bad with the good. I thought maybe it would be good to try that here. Just think back and find a happy memory that makes you smile and add it here. I'll go first:

When I was in about 5th grade, we moved from the city to the farm. My step dad, being a civil engineer decided that the current barn was'nt good enough. So we tore it down to build a new one. He wanted to save as much lumber and nails as he could to use for the new barn so my job ended up being pulling all of the nails and seperating them into piles; regular nails and finnish nails. Regular nails having a flat head and Finnish nails having no head at all. Well as a 5th grader who had never done anything like this before i followed the instructions as i had understood them. When i was done i got my step dad to look at the piles. he looked at them in wonder and asked what was it that i had done. You see there were two piles. One was full of nails that were only slightly bent that could be straitened out again and used. They were good regular nails. the other pile was full of nails that were so badly bent that they could not be salvaged and had to be thrown away... they were finnished!!
When my parents explained to me what had happend, we all had a good laugh out of that one!!

I remember one time when I was little, my whole family was packed into my mom's car (which can fit 8 or 9 people), and my dad, to be obnoxious, screamed out, "Okay, raise your hand if you're not here!" He pulled away, and then we saw my aunt running after the car.

There was a summer when my step brothers went to their father's to visit. He lavished them with gifts and attention while they were there. My dad got tired of us girls getting left out so he gave each of us fifty dollars. There was only one rule. We had to spend it that day. We were not to hold onto any of it. He bought us lunch, took us to the mall, and let us go crazy. I think he spend a good two hundred dollars on us aside from the money he gave us!
That was an awesome day.

One of my favourite memories was waving to people on the ground as our cruise liner set sail for 2 weeks around Fiji and New zealand. Trying to save my money so I could so something similar but as an adult.

One of my favorite memories is when I wrote and framed a poem for my Dad for Christmas. I was in my early twenties. I'll never forget the tears in his eyes when he read it and the wonderful hug he gave me as he thanked me for it.

lol that is so funny. When my family was in florida I was walking in the parking lot with my grandmother and great grandmother. My great grandmother was holding a banana and started to use it as a gun and was pretending to shoot everyone and everything in the parking lot. I was only five so I didn't understand but now looking back on it that old woman was hilarious.

the stories id tell to my sister.She had a pet rock(it was the fad when we were about 8) I looked about for some pebbles and when we went to bed that night, i placed the pebbles beside her rock. I woke in the morning and said "Your pet rock had babies!"
She believed it. We always did crazy things growing up

When I was little I was outside getting off the city bus with my father, and it was really late at night but the street lights and car lights were all bright and the letters of store lights looked all shiny and new, there was a cool breeze and it felt really nice blowing through my hair and I just felt really happy there.

One of my daycare teachers whom I was very close to used to teach me Polish after all the other kids at daycare left for home. She knew Polish because she immigrated from Poland a few years ago. I always thought it was a beautiful language and that it was always cool to learn. We used to always greet each other in Polish and sometimes say things in Polish so that nobody could tell what we were saying. Don't worry about that!

Oh I have another one. When I was really little there was this candle my sisters father LOVED and there was a dead bug in it, and my mother was explaining what death was (charming isnt it?) Anyways, I remembered watching a funeral on the tv and I filled the candle with sand and then burried the candle. It was on of those squishy ones that are like gelly like around the wick and everything to so haha.

I remember entering in to a coloring contest at the age of 9, and I won. I have never won anything in my life and I won. I got my picture taken for the paper and everything. I won a Koala bear. I was on Cloud nine that day!
