I know how you feel. when a guy walks by me i freak out majorly but i dont let it show. i work at a craft store and when a guy comes to my register i wont look them in the eyes. If you ever need to talk I am here for you. I dont feel normal at all either.

i know how you feel. i practically dont trust anyone. i was almost convinced that one of my teachers wanted to hurt me, because he scared me so badly.
so dont think your insane for feeling this way. im dealing with all of this too, and my best way for coping with it is just to avoid directly looking at the person. sometimes it might make you feel more comfortable to stay quiet around a guy when he comes near you, so as not to attract attention to yourself. i know its not the best method, and im still working on finding another one, but thats what i do in the mean time.
and ive found that the only guy i do trust is this boy i have a crush on. he is VERY shy, and so sweet and innocent. and it sounds so cliche but he is truly so innocent and shy that he has never said a mean thing to anyone i know and i cant imagine him hurting me. i just cant see him doing it. there's hope

Hello all.. I am a survivor of molestation too.. I have major trust issues. anymore it is not just directed at men. I have loosened up a bit and try to realize that i can go as far as to befreind people if i think they are good ppl- that is- even men. I think this represents alot of growth. I too did not want to attract anyone. I was molested at age 10 thru 15. for years i didn't want to shower. after a while i got to where since i didn't want any kind of attention on me- negative or positive- so eventually i bathed. but untill i was like 20-21ish that was ALL i did. i am 27 now. i wear make-up and like to think i am kinda cute lol. i am really close to almost fully being pleased with my looks. aand I mean I am depressed alot, and at times (more often than not) do not like myself. um that is a whole nother story. but my point is in alot alot of ways i have really grown from my abuse. it does bother me from time to time.. but I am dealing with that guys. um heres what I am really getting at- to itzjustme and to others in her situation.. One day I beleive you with get past this. all ya issues. I mean this past thing - i'm not saying it will comepletly stop. but in a nutshell i just told my story. i did that because I hope to give you younger folks a glimpse of the possibilty that things can really change for you. I am not normal i dont think.. yet at the same time i am normal, in the since that- we all have something!! like an issue or two. we are no diff from each other.. we are the same in one instanse- that is: we all figure out (usually on our own) how to get past what's bugging us.. and I have faith that you will one day feel satisfied with who u are and you will work this shit out. me?? Im not all the way there yet.. ha idk if i will ever be but one thing is for sure.. all the crazy shit that keeps happenin to me i will figure out a way thru it.. ::sigh:: I always do!!!! thx beth
