I dont know if it was because i was sexually abused (9-12), but im 16 now and at school i only like to be friends with the female teacher/counselors. not all of them just the ones that are so nice to me. i forms attachments to them and i get to love them and wish i can be with them forever. it all started in 7th grade when my math teacher called the school counselor cuz she was concerned about me, i talk to the counselor about once a week + i always went to her after school to say hi i loved her soo much. i didnt even want to go to high school cuz i knew she wouldnt be there. The same went for my other counselor in the same building that worked in the high school as well, but then she left the district. i was so heart broken. i had dreams about them over the summer. i'm still in contact with them over email and when i get ther emails my day is so much brighter.
In high school i had this counselor, she totally understood me and was like my friend then summer came and she gave me her email so that we could talk over the summer, i think me and her were friends. she told me that she wasnt soming back to the highschool the nxt following fall and i was like ok thats it im done talking to counselors. i miss her so much. I have this one teacher she is the best she is always giving me hugs when i need them and she always is there to talk, to gets me and doesnt judge me. she know i love her cuz i tell her that all the time.
I'm not gay or anything i just really love them.

Some psychologists say that what happens to us is that one part of our mind strives to replace the trust and/or affection that was destroyed by the abuse, which creates a conflict with another part of our mind that says we can't trust anyone. Our mind tries to resolve this conflict by focusing all our trust onto a very tight circle of friends, frequently even just one, and then everyone outside the circle is a mere 'acquaintance' if anything at all.
It tends to be an all-or-nothing thing.
But it's still like your situation. I really love them, just not that way. It's like there's a whole different kind of devoted love we experience that no one else seems to talk about.
