I have felt that way for 20 twenty years. I don't now why we need them to believe. I think for me so it could explain all my destructive behavior. I also felt so betrayed when she would have my uncle over the house. She now says she does not talk to him. But now its to late for me and her. I moved away I dont call I just gave up on her. I have a daughter and I always listen and suppoert her. I think Im a beter mom because of all that happen to me.
It being you brother is probaly hard for here like your making her choose. And it is easier to just not deal with it. I'm sorry your going through that but no matter who believes you you have to heal yourself for yourself. Be strong I believe you and I know others do too.

My mom new it happened every one did.But if any thing was hushed up faster i don't know.I was told it was bad and I was a bad girl no dr. no nothing.The whole nieghborhood was screwed where I lived.If it hadn't have been him it could have been the pedi. three doors down.

i feel betrayed when she alowed my brother back into this house. i felt betrayed when she would stick up for him and not for me. when she was willing to do anything for him and nothing for me. i think because i'm more mature and i can take care of myself that she feel's that she can take care of him instead of me. idk. i understand why she doesn't want to hate him. he's her son and is in the military and was over in iraq and could go back and i understand that she doesn't want anything to happen to him and she wouldn't be able to handle herself knowing he was dead and she was mad at him. i get that all i really do. but what i don't get is why would she try and save her son who if far away and let me die who is right beside her? i don't understand. i don't understand why she thought i could solve what happend to me. idk what was going through her head when she told me to just work it out with my brother myself. i don't understand what made her say no to getting me help. i don't understand why she stuck up for him when i asked to go to family counselor i don't understand! what mother does that to their kid. what mother can sit there and look their lil girl in the eye and say no to getting her help! why would you even do that!!! it hurts me so bad! i want to get over i want to move on but i don't want ot at the same time! surpisenly family is really important to me. i wish my family was closer i wish none of this had happend to me. i just wish my mom could look me in the eye and say i believe you and actaully mean it. my mom is putting me through what she went through. don't you alway's want a better life for your kid? i do! i will never do this to my kid. if he/she want's help i'll give it to them without even thinking about it. ahhh she makes me so mad. she's losing me and i dont' think she cares. what do i do?

I know your mom may not believe you but this needs to be reported to the police or some one what they did was very wrong na d your the one suffering because of what they did even though they are your brothers it is wrong I know what you are feeling I have been there please report it to someone for your sanity other wise you dont know if this has happened to any one else.keep in touch please.

it's already been reported. he was let go. they didn't have enought evidence so he was found innocent. i told a few years ago.he was gone for a long time in the army over in iraq

but he got home like a month ago and my mom let him stay here. it was the hardest thing ever. it was like being abused all over again and not only by mason but also my mom. hope that makes sence. i'm seeing a counselor right now. she's my 3rd one. i don't really like her either. idk, it took me about a year or a lil mom to get my mom to get me a cousnelor. ahh idk, i'm just dealing with the fact that i haven't told about my other brother and two of his friends "messing around" with me and idk if i should or not. i'm scared and it's been so long that idk. i don't think anyone would believe me.

we believe you here. we ar eheree for you. Yuo cannot live with this on your own. I tried that, and know a few others who tried, and sure, you might succeed for a few years, but you will come crashing down and it will be so much harder to get back up again.

My mother chose my father over me, her own flesh and blood. It hurts so bad, but now I have learned that she made that choice on her own, now i have to move on on my own. but I have tyhe support of my friends here on DS and we will support you too. I am here to talk if you need.

ya i live with my mom and dad, and my brother still comes and stay's here. he was living her for a while but has found a place of his own but ya he comes and stay's a few nights. hmm i wish i could move but i'm only 17 and can't really yet. i'm just holding on to going ot college. taht will get me out of here and it will be a good change for me.

i did not worry so much if my mother was going to believe me. i knew what had happen to me. i think i told her in hopes that she could fix my pain. i realize it had to me to fix my own pain.

Everyone wants there parents aproval when as a child, this can however transfer into adulthood, even with all the pain and abuse all a child wants is to be loved and for someone to say that they are ok and thats its not their fault... By your mother or anyone elses mother saying or not believing or not supporting is to some a slap in the face of rejection, it is important and its very painful not to be believed and when the side of the abuser is taken over the victim is the biggest punch in the guts known to man... You are right to feel this hurt it is a painful thing to happen to anyone, I feel for you as i so know how you feel, but as i was always crying out to be believed and heard it drove me insane with pain, but i have now come to realise that i no longer need this belief that i can believe in my self i know what is true i know what happened to be real, and i no longer have this need to seek my mother or anyone elses belief of me or their aproval for that matter, all that counts is what you know to be the truth only you... People don't always react the way we want and we can not make them do that we can't force anyone to say and think the way we want them too, in a perfect world we would have this our worlds were far from perfect but now we can move on and accept what we can't change and make our lives from now on the perfect world we want...
