Also new to admitting that my abuse still has a hold on my every day life and relationships.
I don't feel like going into detail just yet but I am working on it in therapy for the first time and this morning I just wrote a letter to my abuser. No hold back, just as my therapist told me to. I feel empowered yet empty at the same time.
I really relate to whoever posted the "Only abused 'a little'" thread, because that is how I feel.
But now that I working on it in therapy it doesn't feel like a little anymore. It feels life sized and overwhelming. But I still feel guilty. It still feels like its my fault. I still feel dirty as used.
It takes a lot for me to write on this board because I still don't feel valid...

Im sure you will get the support you need from this group and by the sounds of it you are already making the attempts to not let rhe abusers have control over your whole life so WELL DONE.
