This is a great start hope. It is tough to get out of a habit that we’ve all had for years. I also came here to get a start toward removing the compulsiveness of this addiction. After reading and posting here, I felt a relief. Keep strong hope and talk to your wife about it. You will get through this and break free from this terrible desire. Keep us posted on your journey.

Self awareness has made me realise just how buggered up lam and rely it .When I'm alone.Anytime I get the urge.

Just putting a few words up here has made me realise I have a problem.I know I have to tell my wife but I don't want to hurt her feelings by confessing I get turned on by porn.Its taken over my desire for her sexually and I love her so dearly

There are others here that have a better perspective of what it’s like to be married and struggle with this addiction. I’ve never been in your situation. But I’ll just say telling a trustworthy person was the best step I’ve taken towards healing. The feeling we get when we continue to remain in “hiding “ is so self destructive. Continued depression, anxiety lead us to deeper escape in porn. Telling someone hasn’t “cured” me but like taking medicine for the flu it reduces the symptoms.

I have been married 20 years and on and off i go off the deep end with porn. i say never again and after some time there i am again. My poor wife feels so betrayed and heart broken. 3 weeks ago again with Facebook videos i clicked so many. I am here to begin the process to stop this cycle. I'm not sure my wife will ever trust me again. in the past i didn't understand the pain i was causing my wife. I get it now and feel awful, it's so surreal, that i would or could cause her so much pain. The recent revelations that really hit home is the repeated pain i have caused has affected many other relationships in her life with friends and our children. With her in so much pain at my betrayal her relationships with our children has suffered.

Strange thing I have stopped seeking porn.Its all round us and it seems to be seeking me.My first step into trying to put porn into perspective is try and see the person I would usually get aroused by as just a women not a piece of meat that I can get of on.This then makes me feel some what guilty and it soon faded away.I think its so easy to jack one of over somebody you don't give a dam about as it's a lot less effort and inturn you start to loose true desire to have full on contact sex.
