Hi all, I was doing really great for about 4 months. I was happy and healthy and felt like myself. But I relapsed again with pornography right before the new year started. Part of me wants to keep this in years past. Not to let it into 2020. I need help on not feeling as hopeless when a relapse occurs. thank you.

The fact of the matter is it happened and you own up to it which you did. So now, it's done and you move forward. 4 months is a major accomplishment. Be proud of that. You had a slip up. You aren't trying to justify it, you aren't making excuses. You are doing everything right so don't let the past define you today

Hi Micah. I know you have great faith. When I relapse I lose momentum pursuing God. A little shame and guilt is enough to make me feel a bit unworthy. And because of that I may pray less and even feel like I can’t listen to christian music. If this is happening to you forgive yourself quickly. Jesus gets this temptation and he is ready and wants to hear your prayers about it. He doesn’t want us to shy away from him feeling guilty or shamed. Definitely acknowledge your accomplishment of 4 months. Learn what may have triggered this episode and keep going with a little more knowledge.
