Hey all,

Still going steady and porn free for quite a while now. Thank you to all here that have helped me so much in the success of that goal. Also for the great conversations and food for thought.

Recently, someone said something that got me thinking, and it made me realize that it wasn't long after I had stopped cutting that I adopted porn as a bad habit. I was asked when the last time I had cut was, and I know it was around two years ago. About two years ago was when the porn problem started. Both issues have the same triggers, at least that I have been able to identify so far. Is it just a coincidence? Or is it somehow related?

Just curious on what your thoughts might be on this.

If one started just as the other ended, it seems like there is a connection. Your friend is pretty smart.

Definite connection. And you replaced one habit with another. Especially having the same triggers. Each action offset whatever was wrong. It's like someone who quits narcotics but then turns to booze. The root of the issue is still there, the only thing that changed is the coping mechanism

So hello. I'm just a teenager but I've been struggling with porn for almost 6 years and I'm too shy to talk to anyone about it. Some help might really be welcome cause I've tried to quit on my own but I end up relapsing all the time. I'm so tired of this and I want to stop
