I have a severe addiction

I have a addiction/compulsion to porn where whenever I get anxious or by myself I just watch it even when I'm feeling really down. I also get overly horny and whenever I see girls in bikinis on insta or snap I take a screenshots of them. I hate doing this it's like an urge. Idk how I stop it. I told my girlfriend all of this and she feels idk ugly maybe? It's not that I find her bad looking but I just get overly horny when I do see them. She said it wasn't considered cheating which I really an greatful for but I don't know it kind of is? I just don't know how to control these urges and I would appreciate any kind of help to just stop this goddamn voice in my head telling me to jerk off.

This is happening to me as well. I've struggled trying to stop completely but have definitely cut back. One thing that helped me was to distance myself from any possible triggers. Limiting my time on instagram and focusing on hobbies has led to less urges. I've also worked really hard to trick the algorithm to not show me any possible triggers too. Hope this helps

Agree that reducing triggers will help. Have you considered some type of filtering app for your devices? Sounds like your girlfriend is supportive of you, which is great.

I have been attending addiction recovery classes which have helped me immensely. Addiction thrives in secret. My mind and thoughts are slowly changing.

I struggle with the same thing as well. I found that when I unfollow instagram model pages, it leads to me having less urges. But one problem that still sticks is that whenever I see nude scenes in movies, those urges come right back and I end up slipping.
