The best thing i did to help was to install a good porn filter on all my devices. I also let a trusted person set the password so i can't bypass it. Not a 100% fix, to be sure, but the harder it is to get to, the less likely I am to try. Also be sure to get support, whether from family/friends, a counselor, or online support groups like this one. You're not alone in this struggle, so don't try to do it alone. We're all with you, many of us (like me) still working through our recovery.

First, you need to see what it is, that it is not just a habit but eventually grows into something like a force deep inside you that controls you. The urges, the temptation, the self deception that I can peek just a little bit and I can stop it when I want to. You need to know and understand what it does to you. Get the book, “Every Man’s Battle” by Stephen Arterburn. I learned a lot from this book and I think they have revised it and added research on how the brain works. Then go to their website, New Life Live. It is a faith-based group but do not let that throw you off, their advice is mostly clinical and practical. I know many guys who have been helped. Check it out if you really want to change your life for the better.

Be brave and write down on pen and paper why you want and need porn.
