Ive been watching porn since I was 13. I'm now 24 and it's affecting my life. I've managed to improve my anxiety from a few years ago, when it was really bad in college. I did have multiple stresses then like premed class, a first girlfriend, a sports team and struggles in class. But I think this habit really exacerbated things.  It seems that when I'm in a rut and watching a lot, I'm more depressed, anxious, irritable, have no energy, no motivation, don't want to get out of bed, my diet is worse, and I get social anxiety to the point that sometimes I can't maintain conversation. I'be begun to meditate daily, and exercise more frequently, as well as try to hop out of bed early. This is definitely helping somewhat, but I'm not feeling completely better.  A big  trigger for me is being in bed. My night time routine sucks. That's when I watch. If anyone has suggestions on how to steer clear from watching porn that would be very helpful. I just wanted to share this because I know there's a problem and I know that my life could be improved if I just cut the habit.

Only you can make the change, other can listen and encourage but you have to do the hard work.
delete account, lock phones and computers, start writing down on paper everything.

Man, I wish there was something that I could use on my phone that I had no control over that would just get rid of the porn permanently and there was no going back. Sometimes I pray that this could just be taken away from me but it doesn’t work like that. I’m not sure if you’re a Christian, but your life is a story to tell. Either way, it’s the story of how you’ve succeeded and how you’ve failed, in my case, over and over and over again, but it’s also how we fight, fighting against all odds and getting knocked down. But we still get back up and try again and again. Keep reaching out on here and either talk about your day to day life or look at the encouraging stories on here because there are a ton. You are going to get through this. You are going to win.

Replace your habits with something better. Nobody likes to lose a habit without finding something else. Think about Life's purpose. Think about having healthy relationships. Think about talking to ladies and having their best interests in mind when you talk to them - not selfish thoughts about what you can get from them. Enjoy being at ease around others.
Start with praying for God to help you. Find a good small group at a local church that talks about growing stronger day by day. Those groups are out there. Prayers for your success!
