My husbands lawyer informed me today that the prosecuting DA dropped a charge and has offered him 16 months. This is very good news. We had anticipated at minimum 2 years. A part of me feels vindicated because his so called friends had assumed he would go to prison for years and horrible things would happen to him. They accused him of promoting child abuse (which I do understand by watching you are in a sense promoting it). Their behavior was so accusatory. And now that he has been offered the lowest possible sentence it shows them he is not as terrible as they assumed. He has made mistakes as humans usually do. He has admitted and is prepared to face the consequences. All I ask is for his friends to hear him out. I hope once he has served his sentence he still has friends to come home to.
