Senior Health & Aging Support Group
Aging is an important part of all human societies reflecting the biological changes that occur, but also reflecting cultural and societal conventions. There is often considerable social pressure in many societies to sustain denial of the aging process. Join this community to discuss general issues with aging and senior health.
I am 62, and was always very active, even though I was over weight. Which added to the eventual problems. 3 Knee surgeries and bone on bone, each of the past 10 yrs my getting around became harder and harder until I almost ended up in a wheel chair. I refused to settle for that, and use a walker now. This has affected my life as I cant do any of the things I enjoyed all my life, (hunting, baseball, and sense i had to stop playing I took up coaching, now that's over as well) The Dr wont replace my knees unless I loose a lot of weight, aprox 100 lbs.
