Senior Health & Aging Support Group
Aging is an important part of all human societies reflecting the biological changes that occur, but also reflecting cultural and societal conventions. There is often considerable social pressure in many societies to sustain denial of the aging process. Join this community to discuss general issues with aging and senior health.
Glad to meet you and welcome to the group, Maybe you and your husband can visit the local senior citizen center or you can one a week just to get out of the house.
Have a good day
but like you stay on a positive note , life goes on... Roz
I am not writing any books but I keep busy with knitting and sewing and with the help of one of my daughters will be selling some of my knits and sews. I do keep a journal. It helps me get things off my chest and also write about things I remember from my childhood.
I am just joining the group. I am about to turn 65 and figured some moral support regarding this getting older stuff couldn't hurt. Looking forward to discussing issues and concerns with everyone.
I lost my only daughter a few years ago as well. We had planned to have side-by-side rocking chairs at the retirement home as she was only 17 years younger than me. Now, I am going through a divorce and will have to face most of these aging issues alone as my only son lives 500 miles away. Particularly painful this holiday season. I do miss her so much. Hope being on this forum helps.
Your optimism and good cheer are a welcome addition. I just joined too, and look forward to sharing concerns, hopes, and comments with everyone here. Welcome.
