From a male point of view... I don't see it lol... I'm totaly lost when it comes to these ladies profiles on plenty of fish... sometimes it's like reading my own words, yet when I send an message, it's read and deleted lol... I'm not gonna say it a male or female thing cause both sides are just as guilty of feasting with their eyes... guess it's like cars... we all really want something sporty, and nice to look at... Me I'm like my old Voyager, little rusty but can still get a round with a little maintance... Okay maybe a major overhaul lol... I'm just as guilty, I tend to judge by looks just like everyone else, except I'm willing to get to know a person before I make a final decision... Gosh in all reality, I don't even know how to act or think in this world... i hear nice things but hey actions speak louder than words to me... Yepp I'm a real bow wow... post my pic just to make sure no one is surprised by my looks... I must of been a beautiful baby lol... my doggy cute... my kids are good lookin, wat da heck happen lol... I'm not good at games, I try to keep my male ego in check... and my heart in one piece... this is one area of life I am very unsure of... It's easier to hide in my room all alone... which is what I don't want to do... to my ex I would say some one like you makes it hard to live without somebody else... sorry i'm rambling along here now I have this darn song stuck in my brain, okay just switch songs to I stay away from the runarounds too...hey hey.... gee don't write songs like that no more lol have a great day and best wishe to all , fish or cut bait lol...
In all reality its easier for people to want more then we can give back.We want young and pretty when we are older and not so pretty.
People are afraid of taking the time to look under all the not so pretty to find a diamond in the rough.
same advice here for that...
Check out the forums, too.....that's one of the best part about PoF---you get to know people in a different kind of way.
Plus, there is a state section where there is a lot of activity that one never sees with the 'dating' section.....

I am soooooooo glad that so many men on PlentyofFish say they don't care what the woman looks like; as long as the woman is a GOOD woman......such a relief!!

Online, however, although I include men 15 years younger than myself up to 15 years older than myself, the only men interested in me are all in their seventies!
I tried a little "experiment" at one online site. At first, I registered being truthful about my age (56). Very few men ever viewed my profile other than those in their seventies and eighties.
However, when I closed that account and opened a new one using the same photos and same info with the exception of saying I was 49 instead of 56, LOTS and lots of men viewed my profile.
Seems that not many men at online dating sites are interested in women over 49.
BamaFlash, I'm curious. Not sure of your age, but, if you signed on as a fifty-something, what do you think would happen?
The parameters each of us set for the ages we are interested in connecting with seem to "weed out" fifty-something women like myself.

think online dating is probably like anything else......one has to be very cautious and careful.....
BUT, if you don't go out that much, would think it would be at least a way to check things out........see who is out there.......
there is a site a lady online mentioned once.......something about meeting people, and what this is ....local events are advertised and others come to join on......
seems like she has met some pretty intersting people there....
probably, would cruise around thru some of the threads here........
but, it can be fun, and it can be a learning experience....
nothing ventured, nothing gained.......:)
