How to meet a genuine man

Hi Everyone I have been widowed for almost 5 years. I would like to meet a man who has his act together. I have tried online dating sites (many) and have not had any luck. Most men don't even respond to me when I send an interest. I think I am attractive enough but why is this so hard? Any advice would be welcome :)

Keep plugging away.Would like to be your friend if given a chance.Since we live in the same state and all.I am east of where you live but get out in that direction from time to time.My wife passed away about six years ago do to cancer.Hard getting over it but life does go on.BILL

I wonder if using terms like 'genuine man' could be seen as judgmental and off putting. I'm certain you don't mean to sound that way but using that term coupled with describing a man 'having his act together' does make it seem like are digging for something specific. I'd be weary if I were a guy.
