I'm new to this, feeling of being alone. I just lost the love of my life of 53 years (met when we were 16) I'm only 69. I don't know what to do next. My kids and grandkids are great and they support me everyday. Waking up with no purpose. This is real hard.
A couple of months after my husband passed away, I joined a bereavement group at church. it helped me tremendously to be with others who also had a loss. There are groups out there. Hope Hospice has groups in the daytime and in the evening.
I also volunteered for a while. Eventually, I carved out a life for myself and was able to adjust. It just takes time. One day at a time.
There is a widow/widowers group on this site also. I wish you well. May peace and strength be with you.
