Self-Injury Support Group
Whether you or someone you know or love struggles with self-injury, this is the community to discuss your experience, find support, meet others going through the same, and get advice on how to stop. Working together, we can help find alternative coping skills to reduce the urge to self-harm.
I find SI (and certain SI) only works for certain emotions....but for me...it only really helps when I'm numb......
but...maybe take this as a chance to look at better coping mechanisms.....like going for a run?...writing in a journal (like on paper, tends to be better).....idk....I'm not at a great place for coming up with these...
!!SFS!!
writing down your feelings is better on paper. exercise gives you great endorphins and adrenaline that can make you feel better. scream into a pillow (sounds lame, i know, but i swear it works)
i have never found si to not work when i'm depressed, angry, anxious, guilty, etc... so i think looking0around is onto something. you likely need to try not to do it anymore if it doesnt give you the satisfaction it once did.
let me know if you need to talk. i'm always happy to chat. :-)
i think its good and bad...good i havent dont it in a month...well u kno actually its not that it doesnt work but i have no urges...the bad...idk how i can calm myself down wen im depressed and crying hysterically...i have tried screaming in a paper and ripping paper to shreds...its actuall makes me tired and so i will try it
