Self-Injury Support Group
Whether you or someone you know or love struggles with self-injury, this is the community to discuss your experience, find support, meet others going through the same, and get advice on how to stop. Working together, we can help find alternative coping skills to reduce the urge to self-harm.
thank you, this post also made me smile.
xx
my list isnt as great as yours but i...
watch a livelavalive video. almost all of them make me laugh or at least smile.

spend time w/ my little sister or niece. while my sister is a pain in the butt sometimes, i really love her. she always makes me feel better. i don't get to see my niece as often as i would like to but i smile when i do see her. she gets the biggest smile on her face and screams when she sees me. just thinking about it makes me smile.
curl up under my electric blanket/ put on more layers. and watch a funny show or movie. scrubs or the office are usually my go to shows. (i usually feel the worst during winter)
the next few don't necessarily make me smile or laugh but usually make me feel better.
listen to music. mostly Christian metal-core. i love how loud and (for lack of a better word) angry it sounds. usually underoath is my fav when i want to hurt myself.
draw on myself w/ a pen. lately this has been helping so i've got a lot of stars and words on my arms and legs.
take a hot shower. before i do this one i make sure all the sharp things are out of the room. (learned that one the hard way)
walking or just getting some fresh air really helps me, or just curling under covers.
hope everyone's well :)

I think thats it! :D
many people have different ways of fighting the urge, but i guess these work best for me, as it takes my mind off everything, all my problems disappear, and i can be myself without being judged. :P
If it's summer, I drive to the lake.
I bake, and sometimes I take a long bath and read a book in the tub.
Once in a while I have a cigarette, but I'm quitting so that isn't often at all.
