Self-Injury Support Group
Whether you or someone you know or love struggles with self-injury, this is the community to discuss your experience, find support, meet others going through the same, and get advice on how to stop. Working together, we can help find alternative coping skills to reduce the urge to self-harm.

I've also had the same thought that I'm too old to still be doing this, but many people still harm into their 40's, I find once I distance myself from cutting and see it for what it really is, it's easier for me to let go of it. I made a decision the other day, that I'm done with it and that I need to grow up about my situation. Not for everyone tough love but so far I'm a week free from cutting so I guess I'm doing something right.
My advice is do what i couldnt do - tell your therapist about this. Im sure they'll be very understanding and supportive. Btw im always here if you want to talk :-)
Could you switch therapist? It seems like you need to see someone who gets it.
You're far from too old. Self harm doesn't have an age range
