So this past friday, I cut a little too deep. I completely lost my mind. I couldn't stop kicking and screaming even when my roommate tried to restrain me. I broke away and locked myself in my room. By the time my roommate broke the door down I had already done it and she quickly grabbed my arm to stop the bleeding. It was all over her, her clothes, the floor the bed. I was taken by ambulance and now I have 9 stitches on my wrist and I am doing better medically but I am mentally worn and going to need a lot of help. I'm thinking about cutting again and I want to. It is taking everything I have to resist.

I'm sorry you had such a rough wkend but don't give into the urges; try to take your mind off it by hitting a pillow, listening to music, reading a book, watching a movie, exercising; whatever positive substitute you can use; you may not be as lucky next time.

Thank you. I am fighting as hard as I can but cutting and suicide keep calling my name. I remember feeling ready to die and wanting nothing more than to die in peace. Just a few too many sleeping pills and I would slowly drift away but I am going to my therapy sessionsto try and get rid of those thoughts

I'm glad you're going to continue with your therapy Brittany; does the dr have you on any kind of medication?

I am sorry you had a rough weekend. I know how cutting deep can be. I cut a little too deep myself on my leg, right below my knee. I regret that I did it. It looks so bad and I did it months ago and it is still red. I never went to the ER the evening I cut myself. It bled so much that I thought I would bleed out overnight. I was scared. It stopped the next evening. So I bled for about 10-12 hours. Please don't cut again. Try to do other things like exercise, read a book, watch tv, or listen to music. I have done all of these and it did keep my mind off of cutting. If you need any help, just ask me, I am here if you need me.
