I sometimes use hydrogen peroxide. Poor that on the cut and dry it off and cover it up. Water works as well just to clean it.
What I use to do when I was young is get some paper towel, get it wet and apply to the wound and cover it up.

it's a sort of bleach i think? So i guess it must act as an antiseptic?

Don't use hydrogen peroxide on fresh cuts, its traumatizing to the wound. And yes it does sting.

I don't do anything with my cuts, so I really can't offer any helpful advice, I just wash em off with soap and water and pat dry with a fresh papertowel.

But seriously, I wouldn't use Hydrogen Peroxide if I was you.

I use hand sanitizer. But, the thing is, my cuts are more like scrapes then cuts. I don't press hard enough to draw blood - or, if I do press hard enough to get blood, it's just a little bit.

So if the cuts were really deep and bleeding, I don't know how the hand sanitizer would work.

Well, also, maybe I don't even actually need to clean then, since they're not deep...but it's become part of the ritual.

I'm not so sure about the peroxide, either. It is a kind of bleach.

I put fresh antibiotic ointment on them every day. Use the butterfly strips to keep the wound closed. Cover with fresh bandage every day to keep germs away. The ointment will keep germs from getting inside the wound.

If you put the ointment on top of the butterfly bandages, they still stick.
