Self-Injury Support Group
Whether you or someone you know or love struggles with self-injury, this is the community to discuss your experience, find support, meet others going through the same, and get advice on how to stop. Working together, we can help find alternative coping skills to reduce the urge to self-harm.

You have to realise that cutting does not achieve anything. It doesn't make things go away or stop. You have to be confident in yourself that you can get through it. Life is hard, and is a struggle for everyone but self harm doesn't make the day easier to get through, it just distracts from everything else.
You need to focus on small things, get through each day and be proud of yourself for every small thing. Waking up in the morning, wearing a nice outfit, making someone's day that bit better with a compliment or helping hand, doing something you enjoy like listening to music, reading a book etc. Every small thing can have an impact :)
Life is never going to go as you planned, it never does for any single person but that doesn't mean you cant enjoy the small things and the good days. Work through the bad days and be proud of every single one you've made it through.
Don't doubt who you are, that you are important and that you positively impact other peoples lives.
