Dear God,
Why did I live? Why did I not die that one time years ago, when I cut myself and passed out standing up? Why did my head smashing into the wall not kill me? Why did I wake up after a while or even at all? Why was I so mad at myself for failing when I woke up? Why am I still here after all I have done?
Why do I still live while children die of Cancer and never get to experience life as I have? Why am I still alive while there are mentally challenged people who would be much better people if they had my body? Why do you allow a person to live who has spat on your gift of life? Why am I still alive after I repeatedly ignore all of the people who love me? Why allow such a violent and cruel soul as mine to walk this earth?
Two years have passed since I last cut. Can you truly forgive me?
These are the questions I will ask you when I meet you someday. Today however, is not that day. I'm going to keep fighting to find out some answers for myself before we meet. I plan to have a whole lifetime of information by the time I face you. I will promise you this though. I will never put a blade to my skin again. I will never enjoy the scent of blood again. I will make you proud that you kept me alive.
Thank you for saving my life when you didn't have to.

With grateful hearts we will give you the worship you deserve. With hope we wait in expectation for the day of your choosing when we shall see the Lord of Love face to face. Until that day help us to serve you with everlasting joy.
