Whether you or someone you know or love struggles with self-injury, this is the community to discuss your experience, find support, meet others going through the same, and get advice on how to stop. Working together, we can help find alternative coping skills to reduce the urge to self-harm.
Personally I like going out for a walk in the woods near where I live. Take some deep breaths and try and concentrate on the environment around you (it's good to be outside for fresh air) If it feels like you still arent connecting with the environment, then bringing in touch is usually effective, (sounding weird now but) the woods are great because you can touch trees, pick up leaves and scrunch them in your hands (good in autumn because they're crunchy) and scuff your feet along the floor to get some sound around you
Just a suggestion that often helps me when I'm feeling a bit out of it
