that's happened to me too :/ i think it might be the fat layer under your skin but i really dont kno. u probably need stitches, but again i dont kno! i didnt get stitches...heals up into a really nasty scar tho. good luck!

I don't know what it is either. I have the same thing going on, but the bleeding still hasn't stopped 24 hrs later. Just a small trickle now, but when I walk, it rips open again. I went to the health center at my university, and the nurse gave me butterfly bandages since she couldn't do stitches (it had already been 15+ hours). I have an appointment with the doctor tomorrow though to make sure I didn't cause any permanent damage to my leg. It's really deep. :(

yeah ive done that too. im pretty sure its a fat layer right under the skin but its super sensitive. make sure to keep it covered and safe from infections and all thattt. itll leave a fat scar without a doubt. those cuts are the worst you should maybe try not to go so deep next time? hope everything goes well or better (:

I understand that you don't want to tell that you cut again, but it is probably really in need of stitches. If you are trying not to cut anymore than understand that it is a part of the recovery, no one is perfect. Good luck

That has also happened to me. Keep in mind any medications you're taking that thin your blood (SSRIs will do that). It leaves a huge scab, and a huge scar, at least in my experience. But it seems to be a body's mechanism of healing.
