Whether you or someone you know or love struggles with self-injury, this is the community to discuss your experience, find support, meet others going through the same, and get advice on how to stop. Working together, we can help find alternative coping skills to reduce the urge to self-harm.
For wrists a thick banded watch is the best, because people wear watches everyday all the time, so no one looks at you funny. "Spraining" your wrist is a good temporary fix if you cut outside of your watch area, but it does draw lots of attention to you.
If you are leaving scars uncovered, make sure to use lots of sunscreen on them when outside during the summer. When you tan your scars won't, and it just makes them all the more obvious.
but once it is just a scar i found its actually easier to hide when you dont try to hide it! if people don't think you have something to hide then they wont look
