Self-Injury Support Group
Whether you or someone you know or love struggles with self-injury, this is the community to discuss your experience, find support, meet others going through the same, and get advice on how to stop. Working together, we can help find alternative coping skills to reduce the urge to self-harm.
Explain it to him that its a emotion that you cant control explain your pain to him
It does sound however, that you really did mean to hide this from him.The other response is completely correct. If he loves you , cares about you, then he will want to understand you. If someone makes you feel like bad girl or like a monster for doing it , then they are either scared or entirely blindsided by it. If the latter is the case, I would give time for him to reflect and think on what he saw. It could be with a little time he may see it differently and attempt to understand.
Remember Love is supportive. If you both care about one another you will support eachother. I would say explain you're feelings. Why you did it. Remember don't say things like "you" or "We" , Always use the I. I feel this way when I .... or when I felt this way I ...
and finally after you both have that talk, ask him clearly for his support. Make it known you have some work to do, but that you will be grateful for his support.
